Album · 1970 · 8 Songs. First, the hip-swiveling title tune testifies personal vicissitudes and shows why Buddy Miles might’ve been the greatest groove trapsman ever. As an underrated singer, he channels Otis Redding ( Your Feeling Is Mine ), pimps the soul fantastic ( Heart’s Delight ), and balladizes sweetly ( I Still Love You Anyway ). He takes us through the South on Memphis Train and bestows psych-out grooves upon Neil Young’s Down by the River and The Allman Brothers’ Dreams. And the blitzing Memphis Horns are everywhere on this overlooked 1970 release. Them Changes Buddy Miles.
