Nostrum Grocers - Nostrum Grocers album

Size MP3 album: 1670 mb. | Size FLAC album: 1505 mb.

Nostrum Grocers, comprised of Milo and Elucid, released the self titled album on August 3, 2018. It’s the first project released under the duo’s name and it follows a similar artstyle with the one that both art-rappers already have achieved. Seemingly incohesive bars, spoken word flow and cryptic lyricism are very prominent features throughout the entire album

Nostrum Grocers is a brief, gorgeously-produced record that makes the abstract feel immediate. The songs-produced in their entirety by the two MCs, and mixed by Elucid-unfold strangely, their methodical pace heightening the tension between the two rappers’ voices. On milkdrunk, Ferreira likens his newborn son’s yelling to a gun shell, both felt in the gut and requiring urgent attention. For obvious reasons, it’s hard not to think of Under the Underground, a song from an impossible-to-find Serengeti album from the late 2000s. On that song, Serengeti-the Chicago MC who is in many ways a stylistic forbearer to Ferreira-frets about empty venues and asks if one’s identity, and one’s worth as an artist, is tied to popular acceptance, understanding, or acclaim. The Nostrum Grocers’ answer is, emphatically, No. -Paul Thompson.

For a debut album its not that damn bad. A lot of the beats are pretty spacey and experimental while the rapping can sometimes feel like your average boom bap flow but they work on some of the songs. The lyrics can almost feel like a damn jackson pollock painting I don't know if that sounds corny or weird but fuck it. I don't theres nothing that really wow'd me but its certainly not a bad album. Just hope they try something new on there next album.

However, I find it difficult to find a song on this LP that I don't like. Could play this on repeat all week. Digging: Hath - Of Rot And Ruin.

Nostrum Grocers Milo & Elucid. I’ve been a fan of hip-hop music that fills a much headier space for several years now. The kind of conscious rap that parks you in your seat and fills your head with intricate flows, intelligent lyrics and atmospheric soundscapes. The album was written and produced entirely by Ferreira and Elucid and is an exploration of each artist’s separate paths and subject matters draw from their experiences and influences in the years between conception and execution. Each track is filled with Elucid and Ferreira’s dense lexicon and experimental poetic flows.

Why is this 1000 dollars at Ruby Yacht's online shop. I'm so confused.
Voodoogore
According to the album lyrics, '1000 dollar tape cause I say so.'Neither has really said why publically other than that I don't think. They didn't have em at either solo show, but they are only 15-20 at a Nostrum show if you get the chance.
Hellstaff
There's a line in the album where Elucid says 'it's a $1000 tape coz I say so', they just ran with it lol
Hellmaster
