Buckingham Nicks - Buckingham Nicks album

Size MP3 album: 1101 mb. | Size FLAC album: 1425 mb.

Buckingham Nicks is the sole studio album by the American rock duo Buckingham Nicks. Produced by Keith Olsen, the album was released in September 1973 by Polydor Records. Buckingham Nicks is notable as an early commercial collaboration between Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, both of whom later joined Fleetwood Mac. The album was a commercial failure on its original release, and despite the duo's subsequent success, it has yet to be commercially remastered or re-released digitally.

Considering what the duo was to later accomplish, Buckingham Nicks is an engaging listen and served as a proving ground of sorts for both artists' songwriting chops and for Buckingham's skills as an emerging studio craftsman. It was a good enough resumé for Fleetwood Mac, who re-recorded the beautifully cerebral "Crystal" when the duo joined them for 1975's self-titled comeback album. The high-octane rockabilly of "Don't Let Me Down Again" became a staple of the band's concert sets well into the 1980s.

Buckingham’s occasional missteps aside, Buckingham Nicks is a surprisingly overlooked album, especially considering how famous Buckingham and Nicks would soon become with Fleetwood Mac. However, for tasty slices of '70s pop-rock, Buckingham Nicks delivers in spades. And, even if the music is not really to your liking, the album is worth owning simply for its cover. For that reason I recommend finding it on vinyl. Seriously, if you don’t know the Fleetwood Mac story you need to read up on it.
