Cut from the same sunny cloth as its predecessor, When the Good Guys Win feels like a throwback to country at the dawn of the 21st century: It's melodic and sweet with hints of arena rock, but not too much volume or rhythm. Even when he makes a slight feint toward the R&B sounds that dominate modern country-pop, Smith winds up steering himself back to an anthemic center. He is so inherently nice that his pro-second amendment redneck rallying cry "Don't Tread on Me" feels like it's delivered with a smile. Such pleasantries make for a pleasant album, albeit one that tends to fade into the background. Stephen Thomas Erlewine. 1 Gimme Something Granger Smith 3:7.
Album When The Good Guys Win. Everybody Lives Lyrics. Some people run from all the bad times Till they run all out of the good Some people know how to say I love you And some people wish they could. Everybody's got a future But not everybody makes a past Everybody's got a chance to take that some don't take Till it's too late to take it back Everybody's got a last breath But not everybody breathes it in Everybody dies Everybody dies But not everybody lives.
