Saine - Business Hours EP album

Size MP3 album: 1318 mb. | Size FLAC album: 1148 mb.

Business Hours EP. Sleazy Beats Black Ops. Format: limited 12" Cat: SBRB 05 Released: 29 Apr 14 Genre: Disco/Nu-Disco. The last producer to appear on the Sleazy Beats Black Ops series was Max Graef, sharing space with Andy Hart on Heavy Setters EP in the summer of 2013, and since then the young Berliner's career has sky rocketed (as indeed has the record with Hart which is now changing hands for seriously silly money on the used circuit). It's tempting to see how Finnish producer Saine fairs after people acquaint themselves with his Business Hours EP for Black Ops, certainly it demonstrates a nice cultivation in style and approach from previous releases on Odd Socks and Musthave Records.

Curious to hear why you would buy a record you don't like. I can think of better ways to burn a tenner :-)
Great release!
Got myself a copy now. Will hold on to Love thang for trading in the future.
limited runs, dont repress keep collecting alive. got to be on your toes man. no i don't have one.
How can I support you if this is sold out within 2 days? 500 is really not much. press 2000. Everyone would be pleased if this is in stock for a couple of months. you have excellent label reputation. they will sell in the end and are still coveted.
We've been doing this since 2009, there's no way of knowing if a record is going to sell or not. It's not cheap to have 500 records manufactured and the margins are ridiculously low.
If margins are low then why don't you release digital?
agreed, still unfortunate though.
Narik you have nothing to feel bad about and everything you said is spot on.It's always the same with ltd edition records that are in demand if your not fast your last....so suck it up cry babys.
However many you press someone loses out either you don't press enough and have people bitch or you press too many over extend your self and go out of business. This is how it is deal with it or go digital its up to you.
Well said, Sleazy Beats! So True!
Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated! It may seem the records sell out stupidly fast (that last one sure did) but as a label you're only as good as your last release. We take a punt on most releases by working with up and coming producers that we really admire but don't necessarily have a huge fanbase or discography. We never work with (big) remixers either, so we're always very nervous when a new record is about to be released! The margins really are tight, if one or two records tank it would be game over for us. A larger run is definitely something to consider, as long as we keep practicing what we preach.
I'm afraid not, the distributor spreads the available stock evenly over all the shops (with a fair chunk going to Japan)

"We've been doing this since 2009, there's no way of knowing if a record is going to sell or not." Was slightly puzzled to read this as - apart from Moodymann - you guys are pretty much the only label/artist guaranteed to sell out within a few days of issue. I speak as a fan who loves & appreciates what you guys do ( I'm lucky enough to have all your releases) - but could I humbly suggest that you might be able to risk at least a run of 1000 now ? Seems like a win win to me as you'd make a bit more dosh, more fans would be happy & at the end of the day 1000's still a nice limited amount. Anyway, totally respect your decision either way - it's your business! Thanks for all the work you've put into your blog & label over the years & all the lovely music. Respect. :)
I appreciate that you keep us informing about shops having it again on your Facebook. Do you think some shops in the UK will restock the title too?
No it's not ridiculous, you have a business to run at the end of the day. Who here, or anywhere for that matter crying about the price would be prepared to have 1000-odd records pressed and gamble that they all sell? I also don't think its fair to label something as limited, never to be repressed and then repress it. A record feels extra special when you know you are one of a select few to own and play it. What about your other releases? Might you do a limited repress of those as well? Saying that, I feel like a right prick having two through hedging my bets after the initial scramble to get hold of one. My spare is for sale now, see description for why it's so expensive. Would also do a swap for either of the SBR-BO Ben La Desh releases or SBR-03/04.
