NotesThis is music used in the film that was not composed by Dickon Hinchliffe and did not appear on the download release of his original score.
This is mainly music by previously unknown and unrecorded local Ozarks folk and country musicians who were recruited to work on the film. Some of this music features prominently in the film (opening, end credit roll), much of it is heard as background, playing on radios etc. Some of it was made for the film but not used. The song "Bred & Buttered" was written by lead actor John Hawkes as a gift to director Debra Granik, and is based on a line of dialog on the film.
