It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It)" is the lead single from English rock band the Rolling Stones' 1974 album It's Only Rock 'n Roll.

It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll is a decadent album because it invites us to dance in the face of its own despair. It’s a desperate album that warns at the end of one side tha. reams of the nighttime will vanish by dawn, and on the other that a Kafkaesque someone is listening, good night, sleep tight. It’s a rock ‘n’ roll album because it’s so goddamn violent. At its simplest level the album deals with the psychosis of being in a rock ‘n’ roll band and having made it as a star - and it does that better than the Who’s opus devoted exclusively to that subject, Quadrophenia. If I could stick a pen in my heart/I’d spill it all over the stage. It’s only when they get to the bridge that their real target comes into focus: Do you think that you’re the only girl around/I’ll bet you think that you’re the only woman in town. They’ve fused their many resentments into a single vitriolic statement. But the song is more than an attack.

It's uneven, but at times It's Only Rock 'n Roll catches fire. The songs and performances are stronger than those on Goats Head Soup; the tossed-off numbers sound effortless, not careless.

It rolls like a train that's comin' on down the track She rolled over Beethoven and she gave Tchaikovsky back She loves that drivin' beat, she goes dancin' on down the street She said whamalamabamalama rock'n'roll is king. When she comes around and I'm listenin' to the radio She says you can't do that 'cos all I wanna do is rock'n'roll Now here I'm gonna stay when that music starts to play She says whamalamabamalama rock'n'roll is king.

It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll is the 12th British and 14th American studio album by The Rolling Stones, released in 1974. It was the last Rolling Stones album for guitarist Mick Taylor and the songwriting and recording of the album’s title track had a connection to Taylor’s eventual replacement, Ronnie Wood. The album also marked the 10th anniversary since the release of the band’s debut album, The Rolling Stones. It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll combines the core blues and rock ‘n’ roll-oriented sound with elements of funk and reggae

We realized that rock and entertainment memorabilia would be a big thing before practically anyone else. Since 1974 we’ve been selling rock ‘n’ roll and entertainment memorabilia and collectibles, rare character and advertising toys, and popular culture items, too. Beginning in 1975, and continuing until 1986 we promoted a series of Rock Music Collector’s Conventions Rockages featuring rare films, concerts and a dealer’s room for selling memorabilia that are now legendary.
