Honey moon, keep a-shinin' in June Your silvery beams will bring love's dreams We'll be cuddlin' soon By the silvery moon Place, park, scene, dark Silvery moon is shining through the trees Cast, two, me, you Summer kisses floating on the breeze Act one, be done Dialog, where would ya like to spoon? My cue, with you Underneath the silvery moon By the light of the silvery moon I wanna spoon To my honey, I'll croon love's tune Honey moon, keep a-shinin' in June Your silvery beams will bring love's dreams We'll be cuddlin' soon By the silvery moon.
Collectables violates chronological sequencing by pairing Doris Day's 1951 album On Moonlight Bay with her 1953 collection By the Light of the Silvery Moon on this two-fer CD reissue and thus skipping over I'll See You in My Dreams. But the reason is obvious. feat: Norman Luboff Choir, Paul Weston & His Orchestra.
By The Light of the Silvery Moon" or "By the Light of the Silv'ry Moon" is a popular song. The music was written by Gus Edwards, and the lyrics by Edward Madden. The song was published in 1909 and first performed on stage by Lillian Lorraine in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1909. It was one of a series of moon-related Tin Pan Alley songs of the era. The song was also used in the short-lived Broadway show Miss Innocence (September 27-October 9, 1909) when it was sung by Frances Farr.
