These are Ray McKinley's 1946-47 recordings that were originally issued on Eli Oberstein's "Majestic" label. The sound quality of this record label (as with all of Oberstein's earlier ventures: "Varsity" and "Hit" records) were inferior to the major labels at the time, however, there is some great music here! McKinley brought in arranger EDDIE SAUTER, who is best remembered for his advanced arrangements he did earlier for Benny Goodman, Such as "Benny Rides Again", "Superman", and "Clarinet a La King"
