Inmates In Images pulls the best of the best from board recordings of live sets between 1981 and 1983, including the d tracks: Blank Faces and Late Night, along with unheard versions of previously released songs - and includes Peter and Graeme’s song Walk In A Straight Line, written in October of 1980 and originally intended for their earlier band Th. If you weren’t there, then this is probably as close as you’re gonna get to it. If you were, then I hope this album brings back some memories. Certainly works for me. - Peter Jefferies.
The Inmates are for fans of early Dr. Feelgood and early Ducks Deluxe. Included are the band's first three albums between the years 1979-1982. The first two albums are full of tough r&b covers and originals from the band. The third album sees the band making a bid for more popularity and has a smoother feel to it that took some of the spark away from the first two albums toughness.
