Graeme Revell's score for "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle" is like the film it accompanies: By-the-book, but well done. There's nothing we haven't heard before here; your typical suspense score with emphazis on strings and woodwinds. In some parts it reminds me of Shore's "The Silence of the Lambs", but nowhere near as good. Still, this is a very atmospheric score with some good, exciting cues, and some very uplifting and emotional moments. This more or less forms the main theme of the album, and is used imaginatively to create both suspense and serenity. 5 people found this helpful.
The Hand That Rocks the Cradle Lyrics. cleaver tonight And when darkness lifts and the room is bright I'll still be by your side For you are all that matters And I'll love you to till the day I die There never need be longing in your eyes As long as the hand that rocks the cradle is mine Ceiling shadows shimmy by And when the wardrobe towers. like a beast of prey There's sadness in your beautiful eyes Oh, your untouched, unsoiled, wondrous eyes My life down I shall lie Should restless spirits try To play tricks on your sacred mind I once had a child, and it saved my life And I never even asked his name I just looked.
Title: The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992). You have to hand it to the makers of THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE-once the story starts to unravel, you have to stay tuned to find out how this manipulative bitch will get her comeuppance. It's as simple as that. We know from the start that she has evil intentions, but we never know how evil they are until she starts a series of manipulative acts that demonstrate how cunning and remorseless she is. REBECCA de MORNAY is so convincingly evil that you have to wonder why her career didn't skyrocket after this
