In Rainbows is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Radiohead. Despite this radical release method, the band actually made more money off this method than they did on their previous release, Hail to the Thief. Without a doubt, In Rainbows is one of Radiohead’s most orchestral records

In Rainbows – From the Basement is a 2008 live video by the English alternative rock band Radiohead.

Arguably the highlight of In Rainbows, the restless, spectral ‘Reckoner’ was released in the Netherlands as a one-sided 12 as a striking nine-minute techno/trance remix by the British trio Above And Beyond. Yours these days for £60 or thereabouts.

This only results in emphasising the emotions felt whilst reading this rollercoaster book, which is similarly beautiful and tragic. I really loved Rosie, the main character who gave up her future when accidentally pregnant as a teenager. I felt that she portrayed a different kind of teen mother, and led me to question the stereotypes portrayed by the media today. I am absolutely delighted that a film adaptation has been made and cannot wait to see it, and would recommend the book for anyone who loves romance, laughter, and the durability of friendship. The brilliant In Rainbows represents no such thing. Nonetheless, it's a very different kind of Radiohead record. Liberated from their self-imposed pressure to innovate, they sound- for the first time in ages- user-friendly; the glacial distance that characterized their previous records melted away by dollops of reverb, strings, and melody. Opener "15 Step"'s mulched-up drum intro represents the album's only dip into Kid A-style electronics; from the moment Jonny Greenwood's zestful guitar line takes over about 40 seconds in, In Rainbows becomes resolutely a five-man show. For all of Yorke's lonely experimental pieces, it's easy to forget how remarkably the band play off each other; the rhythm section of Phil Selway and Colin Greenwood are especially incredible, supplying between them for a goldmine of one-off fills, accents, and runs over the course of the record.

Distribution aside, In Rainbows is a physical album that goes from 0 to 100. Radiohead sweat out a rambunctious fever on only a few songs like Bodysnatchers (many more, like Bangers & Mash, were dumped on the bonus disc) in favor of slowing things down for the rest of the record without falling prey to the tropes usually associated with balladry. The airiness of the album is what gives the minute changes such empathetic motion. Siren singing you to shipwreck : There’s another version of Motion Picture Soundtrack - less singular, more by-the-numbers, with the refrain I think you’re crazy, maybe stretched out into a conventional hook, and the backing of strings and a grand piano - that could do quite nicely for whichever brooding songstress finds herself the flavor du jour. White wine and sleeping pills/ Help me get back to your arms. And all the sad schoolgirls nod their heads.

If this is the case, then it should follow that rainbows can only pop out during the day. But they can actually occur at night, too. An evening rainbow is called a moonbow, or lunar rainbow
