Size MP3 album: 1296 mb. | Size FLAC album: 1813 mb.

Sandinista! is the fourth studio album by English punk rock band the Clash. It was released on 12 December 1980 as a triple album containing 36 tracks, with 6 songs on each side

Sandinista! Vo. ‎ (Cass, Album, Unofficial). The Clash - Junco Partner 4:53. The Clash - Police on my back 3:20. The Clash-Charlie Don't Surf 4:55. The Clash-The Equaliser 5:47. The Clash - The Magnificent Seven 4:21. The Clash-Ivan Meets . The Clash-Career Opportunities 2:31.

For its triple-album follow-up, Sandinista!, they tried to do everything, adding dub, rap, gospel, and even children's choruses to the punk, reggae, R&B, and roots rock they already were playing. Instead of presenting a band with a far-reaching vision, like London Calling did, Sandinista! plays as a messy, confused jumble, which means that its numerous virtues are easy to ignore.

Album · 1980 · 36 Songs. Yet their punk spirit is alive throughout-from the organ-drenched gospel of The Sound of Sinners to the Dadaist noise collage Silicone on Sapphire to ambient dub blast The Crooked Beat. Police on My Back is straight-up punk-in-the-streets, and Hitsville . There’s even a jazz cover (Mose Allison’s Look Here ). The album reveals a great band brave enough to fail, although they come out heroes.

A triple-album was too much music it was argued, not only for listeners to comprehend but for The Clash to fill up with quality music. This may be semi-true; it is obvious to those listeners that sit through all 36 songs that the quality control is almost non-apparent. This is a shame as there are many excellent songs present that are lost amongst the murk.

Sandinista! was The Clash's response to the two-album set - The River - released by Bruce Springsteen. In what was a growing row with the record company after the smashing success of London Calling, The Clash wanted the financial backing to issue three records for the cost of a single lp and to promote it in the . with only a few gigs. Replace the arcade sounds with a soundtrack from a video game & toss in the "bad guy" of the moment and Ivan Meets . Joe becomes a timely classic from the new resource wars. I am sure The Clash was under pressure to deliver London Calling II and it can be argued that pairing Sandinista! down to about 12 tracks would have made for an absolutely brilliant album.
