The Roots Radics - Honey Honey album
Since its first independent album-length release the band has released 10 studio albums, two EPs, two collaboration albums (with other artists), and also collaborated on recordings and in live shows with a wide variety of artists in many musical genres. The Roots served as the house band on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon from 2009 to 2014, and in the same role (and accompanying show guest artists) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2014. It was the group's first foray into soul music and was heavily influenced by the R&B of Motown and Stax Records (artists such as Stevie Wonder). Lead single and opening track, "Wild Honey", became a minor hit with only a short chart stay. Its follow-up "Darlin'" reached the US Top 20. The album itself reached number 24 in the US and number seven in the UK.

Formed in 1978 by Flabba Holt (bass) and Eric "Bingy Bunny" Lamont (Guitar), the Roots Radics are an all star house band that has backed some of Reggae's most prominent artists. Recording with producers like Scientist, King Tubby, and Junjo Lawes, the Roots Radics provided the majority of rhythm tracks and melodies for the then burgeoning genre of Dancehall Reggae.
