Sunrise - Don't Let Me Stand On The Outside album
Produced by Howard Benson. And the tears fall like rain, down my face again Oh the words you wouldn't say And the games you played with my unfoolish heart Oh I should have known this from the start. Oh the winter and spring Going hand in hand just like my love and pain How the thought of you cuts deep within the vein This brand new skin stretched across scarred terrain

Skeeter Davis - Hold Me Tight I don't want to hear it no more fussin' and a fightin' baby hold me tightLet's let bygones. Skeeter Davis - Al-Di-La La la la la la la la la laAl-di-la means you are far above me very farAl-di-la as distant. Skeeter Davis - Silver Threads And Golden Needles I don't want your lonely mansionWith a tear in every roomAll I want's the love you promisedBeneath. I love you now and I always will But I won't ask you to stay If she's the girl that you're dreaming of Don't let me stand in your way. I can't pretend you're not breaking my heart But if our love has seen its day Don't let her go 'cause you're sorry for me Don't let me stand in your way. I know that I would have nothing to gain By trying to hold on to you And in the end it would bring me more pain 'Cause I'd make you unhappy too.

It hits just as Daya sings the last "Don't let me down" in the chorus, and then she repeats that line during the instrumental break as the synthy sax continues. The break after the third chorus is different: instead of the synth, a real saxophone part comes in, which keeps it fresh and adds an organic element to the song. The production features that pulsing, synth-driven drop, but the song also sticks thanks to sheer title repetition: "Don't Let Me Down" is heard 26 times in the song, including several times near the end of the song as it resolves to a close
