The Fugs - The Fugs II album

Size MP3 album: 1103 mb. | Size FLAC album: 1948 mb.

In 1965, the album charted on Billboard's "Top Pop Albums" chart. The album was originally released in 1965 as The Village Fugs Sing Ballads of Contemporary Protest, Point of Views, and General Dissatisfaction on Folkways Records before the band signed up with ESP-Disk, who released the album under its own label with a new name in 1966

The album charted number 95 on Billboard's "Top Pop Albums" chart. The album was re-released on CD in 1993 as The Fugs Second Album under the Fantasy label with five additional tracks: two live performances and three tracks recorded for Atlantic in 1967 for an album that was never released.

The Fugs, retitled The Fugs Second Album for a later reissue, finds them sounding more professional than on their debut, and still sounding very ahead of their time lyrically, expressing sentiments in ways that just hadn't been done before. Lyrically, many of the tracks on this album wouldn't be out of place on any Dead Kennedys record, but like the Dead Kennedys, the Fugs' weakness for crude humor puts a damper on the whole affair. Sometimes the jokes work ("Dirty Old Man"), sometimes they don't ("Mutant Stomp"), but they're always entertaining

The Fugs' Second Album is the second studio album by The Fugs, released in 1966. The original LP was simply titled The Fugs, but to avoid confusion the CD release re-titled it The Fugs Second Album. Due to better production and a more rock-oriented sound it's considered by many to be their best album. Back in the day it even managed to chart on number 95 in Billboard's list of "Top Pop Albums. Side One. "Frenzy" (2:00). I Want To Know" (2:00). Skin Flowers" (2:20).
