Size MP3 album: 1920 mb. | Size FLAC album: 1252 mb.

House of Music is the fourth and final album by American R&B band Tony! Toni! Toné! It was released on November 19, 1996, by Mercury Records. It followed the success of the band's 1993 Sons of Soul album and a hiatus marked by the members' individual musical projects. For House of Music, Tony! Toni! Toné! regrouped in 1995 and worked at studios in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Oakland, and Sacramento.

Like Tony! Toni! Toné!, Rich and Maxwell relied on traditional soul and R&B values of songwriting and live performances, discarding the synth-heavy productions of the late '80s and early '90s. But, as House of Music makes clear, the difference between the Tonies and their successors is that they know how to seamlessly incorporate hip-hop and new jack swingbeat into their essentially traditional sound. Embellishing soul and funk with slamming '90s beats, Tony! Toni! Toné! sounds modern, and they can successfully accomplish their fusion of the traditional and contemporary.

The Oakland R&B trio Tony Toni Tone’s sound got quieter on House of Music, the follow-up to 1993’s multiplatinum Sons of Soul, as their homage-errific nods to influences were their most overt yet. Their party-hearty collaboration with DJ Quik, Let’s Get Down, featured an acoustic guitar as lead instrument, while the piano-laden Lovin’ You sounded perfect next to hushed Isley Brothers jams such as Work to Do. The Tonyies paid homage to the Stylistics, whose biggest hit had been Betcha By Golly Wow, with Holy Smokes & Gee Whiz, and grinningly nodded to Al Green’s Memphis classi.
