Sat In Your Lap was Kate Bush’s first single from her universally acclaimed 4th studio album, The Dreaming (1982). It was first released on June 1981. The single reached the eleventh position in the UK singles charts and was, oddly enough, the only relative commercial success from the The Dreaming.

Sat in Your Lap" (1981) is a song by the English musician Kate Bush. It was the first single to be released from her fourth album The Dreaming (1982), though it was issued 15 months prior to the album, which was nowhere near completion at that time. The single peaked at no. 11 in the UK Singles Chart. Musically, the single was faster and more percussive than Bush's previous releases.
