Obscure version certainly, but there's absolutely nothing infamous about the text. In fact it is one of those devotional pieces widely set to music by people.
A Moog Mass is an album by Caldara (aka Caldera) that was released in 1970 on the label Kama Sutra. This album is a mix of moog music, religious classical stuff, and ambient. The compositions in this album are very heavy into the classical side. The moogs in the album not only emulate various instrument but even singing. The singing is like a mix of some weird deformed proto-Vocaloid mixed with the KK dog from the Animal Crossing games mixed with when you hear non-existent vocals in a synth lead, so in short, it sounds pretty cool. This is also accompanied by a harpsichord
Band/Record: Caldera - A Moog Mass. Label/Matrix: US 1970 Kama Sutra KSBS-2020. Condition Record/Sleeve: Mint-/EX. Extra Info: Fantastic Album !! Original US 1st press LP on the pink Kama Sutra label. ~One of the most beautiful Moog albums ever produced. Also called Caldera, they later became better-known Tonto's Expanding Head Band. This is an electronic re-interpretation of the Stabat Mater by 18th century composer Antonio Caldara making heavy use of Moog Synthesiser but maintaining a classical style. Fantastic early use of the Moog with (creepy) speech.
