Michael Lake , Gerry Pagano - Roads Less Traveled album
On Roads Less Traveled, Lake paints full canvases. He fills out the sound in multiple ways, adding keyboards, throwing electronics into the mix, and by creatively and judiciously overdubbing horn parts. As the album kicks off, a pair of high energy numbers-Charlie Parker's "Yardbird Suite" and John Coltrane's "Moment's Notice"-showcase Lake's skills on the horn, his studio savvy, and the blend he achieves with himself and Pagano. Those same two pieces are also cause for concern, as they almost come across like Music Minus One pieces.
by Michael Lake & Gerry Pagano. If you think all trombone sounds the same, this very creative selection of jazz and latin will change your mind. Combining alto and bass trombones with synthesis and percussion, these creative arrangements break new ground in trombone recording. Roads Less Traveled reflects paths few people choose. It could be the lifelong embrace of an uncommon trombone, unique treatments to well-known songs, or the reuniting of two old friends across two decades and two thousand miles.

RV living, Travel Stories & Nomadic Lifestyle How-To Tutorials. September 2018 – In mid-September we traveled in our RV to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to see the fall colors and to experience the beauty of the shores of Lake Superior. In the small coastal town of Ontonagon we wandered down to the beach just as the sun was setting. WOW! The sun says goodnight to us across Lake Superior at Ontonagon in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We were both in seventh heaven as we snapped one gorgeous image after another of the sun giving us its final winks before it slipped out of sight below the horizon. The waves rolled in and pounded the shore relentlessly while.
