Cornel Campbell aka Don Cornel or Don Gorgon (born 23 November 1945 in Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae singer, best known for his trademark falsetto voice, and his recordings at Studio One in the late 1960s and his later work with Bunny Lee in the 1970s. Cornel has one of the sweetest falsettos of any Jamaican vocalist and uses it often to convey frustration, soul or despair.
Everybody says you let me down I should be ashamed to take you round Makes no difference what you used to do darling I could never be ashamed of you Maybe you were reckless yesterday but together we can find a brighter way In my heart I know that you'll come true darling I could never be ashamed of you (Darling I. could never be ashamed of you)
Produced by Lewis Johns. Album Chapter and Verse. You Should Be Ashamed of Yourself Lyrics. This used to be an open place This used to be a place for conversation A weary welcome and a tired embrace You know I only wanted I only wanted to see your face. Feminists are beautiful And you can hold that against me Born with a dick doesn’t mean that I’m a misogynist Sex is meaningful. Don’t be complacent Don’t sit and wait for your life to arrive ‘Cause they want to see you fail.
