Bits and Pieces" is a song by 1960s quintet The Dave Clark Five. The single hit number two in the UK and number four in the US, as well as being a success in other countries. It was number two in Australia and number one in Canada and Ireland. It reached number four in the Netherlands. In Germany, however, it only reached the 20th place. Lead vocals are sung by Mike Smith, who also wrote the song. The song is in antiphonal style, with Mike Smith singing a solo line and the whole group responding

Fantastic! Must be, they're Dutch....Produced by John Leckie who also produced Simple Minds (maybe you know Simple Minds? Some band from eh,, the Uk, I think...). A pity the Tapes called it a day after three albums. Sounds like a clever mix of Talking Heads and The Associates. The track 'Strategy' is absolutely a marvellous song. Strange that they never released that as a single. Mick Jagger is mentioned in it. Check it out. Really worth it. I'm hoping the three albums will be released on cd. Mathilde Santing was their backing singer for a while. If she's rich maybe it's a good idea to let her finance the cd-releases....
