Geoff Achison - Gettin' Evil album
Geoff Achison (born 5 August 1965 in Cowes on Phillip Island in the Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia) is an independent Australian Melbourne-based singer/songwriter guitarist, whose artistic focus is of the blues, blues rock and soul genres. Geoff performs in two modes – as a solo artist performing and singing with acoustic guitar, and bandleader as a singer/electric guitarist.
Australian Geoff Achison has rocked the world from Melbourne to Memphis, where he won the prestigous Albert King Award. Also the album includes his masterpiece "Don't Play Guitar Boy" a song that has been Geoff's signature tune for many years and one which has won him many accolades all over the world. My favourite song on the album is "Careful What You Wish For" where Geoff displays his great feel for the Blues and also perhaps his best vocal performance on record. Gettin' evil is the product of Achison's Portland based Souldiggers Band. He has several other Souldigger bands in - Melbourne, in England and more lately touring with Hot Tuna. It's theme seems to be the frustrations of the troubadour in the global age.
