Bob Dylan - The Pedlar Now Speaks album
The Pedlar Now Speaks is an entirely different story for me, perhaps because I was in attendance for this show, and most importantly, because it’s a rather fine album. If you know Dylan’s Unplugged Session, this gem is travels down the same avenue. The backstory is rather impressive, as in the summer of 1996, Dylan was on tour with the Grateful Dead, yes, the summer Mr. Garcia died, ending the tour cold. On the night of June 21st, Bob was a guitarist again, back by a solid wall of first rate musicians pushing it for all they were worth. Flooring everyone was the fact that Dylan wasn’t saving his voice, he was singing with purpose, singing well, even on songs he could walk through, numbers such as Mr. Tambourine Man.

Bob Dylan (born Robert Allen Zimmerman; May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, author, and visual artist who has been a major figure in popular culture for six decades. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s, when songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963) and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" (1964) became anthems for the Civil Rights Movement and anti-war movement.
Song written by Bob Dylan.
Bob Dylan was born in Duluth, Minnesota, on May 24, 1941. For six troubled months, Bob attended the University of Minnesota on a scholarship. He speaks worshipfully of the sense of pace and timing the great blues men had, and it has become a trademark of his work already. His speed at assimilating new styles and digesting them is not the least startling thing about Bob Dylan. Ending this album is the surging power and tragedy of Blind Lemon Jefferson's blues - "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean. The poignance and passion of this simple song reveals both the country blues tradition - and its newest voice, Bob Dylan - at their very finest.

Album · 1971 · 21 Songs. This 1971 set, compiled by Bob Dylan, is rich with hits and overlooked album cuts, rarities and essential, then-new recordings. The delights are many, such as the single-only blues rocker Watching the River Flow, the dusty, dobro-enhanced outtake of When I Paint My Masterpiece and the nimble love epistle Tomorrow Is a Long Time. Tunes re-recorded that year with folk singer Happy Traum-including Dylan’s ultimate song of reclamation, I Shall Be Released, and a singsong, banjo-stoked version of You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere -sound even truer to Dylan’s ’60s gospel
