Pretzel Logic is the third studio album by the American rock band Steely Dan, released on February 20, 1974, by ABC Records. It was the final album to feature the full five-member band of Becker, Fagen, Denny Dias, Skunk Baxter, and Jim Hodder, and also featured significant contributions from many prominent Los Angeles-based studio musicians.

Steely Dan is the most improbable hit-singles band to emerge in ages. On its three albums, the group has developed an impressionistic approach to rock & roll that all but abandons many musical conventions and literal lyrics for an unpredictable, free-roving style.

- same runout codes ('metal work') as MCA release (r10861306) Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic
- same cover and label art as ABC release (r5154596) Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic
- theory: the label art was changed in the middle of the pressing contract
- missing link: this would represent the precise moment in time when ABC became MCA

Interestingly, the circle around the (p) production copyright symbol looks hand drawn on the ABC label, whereas the MCA label looks like they had an actual font character.
