The only LP recording I know of Irish traditional music played on the piccolo, although I believe John Doonan also recorded 1 or possibly 2 cassette tapes which I haven’t heard. 5 set dances included, and special mention should be made of the great acoustic bass playing by Phil Murray. Other accompanists are Harry Eglington on accordion and Dave Price on piano. Lively stuff! Posted by Kenny 14 years ago. Near Full House. Full House" apart from the 2 slow airs. Posted by Robert Ryan 9 years ago. Interestingly Conal O’Grada said that this was one of the few trad records he had when he was growing up. I think there is definitely some of John Doonan in the way Conal plays.
